George Bush and Karl Rove

One Simple Thing:  Ice your pimples.  It will cause the swelling to go down.

One Q: Why doesn't George Bush fire Karl Rove

One A: This is a very interesting question with a very interesting answer.  I'm not here to share my politics on this one but there is no doubt George Bush is very, very loyal to those around them.  For good or bad, that's the way it is.  And until and if Karl Rove is convicted of committing a crime, he will be going nowhere.  Even then, it's not clear whether Bush would wait for all appeals to run their course before actually dismissing one of this cronies.

A more interesting question, in a White House known for loyalty, is why Rove doesn't simply resign (on a Friday afternoon.) citing the desire to distance his most loyal supporter (Bush) from a scandal not of his making.  I'm sure Bush wouldn't accept it, and a skeptical public probably wouldn't buy his resignation as an admission of guilt (another reason not to resign), but if Rove resigns in an effort to help the President, well isn't that another definition of loyalty?
